PCT (Forge Nano) Awarded DOE Phase I SBIR – Advanced Batteries

PneumatiCoat Technologies (Forge Nano) was awarded a second Phase I SBIR grant from the Department of Energy to research advanced coatings for Li-ion cathode materials. This award will help PCT (Forge Nano) validate and expand our promising ALD enabled coatings for battery storage applications. Coatings on battery cathode materials have already been shown to improve battery fade, safety, and charge rates. The objective of this grant is to validate battery performance improvements due to ALD enabled coatings on large format pouch cell batteries and to expand the chemistry and application knowledge base for which these coatings provide benefits.
